Host Orissa beat Manipur in the final by 2-1 runs to win the women’s title of the East Zone Baseball Championship at Revenshaw University ground in Cuttack today. Orissa also stayed on course for a double with their men’s team setting up Tuesday’s final match against Bihar.
In the 7th Federation Cup Tournament, conducted simultaneously at the same venue, Orissa, Delhi, Andhra Pradesh and Goa qualified for the semifinals in men’s category.
